Actual footage of Boris Johnson fighting for his political career (and surviving).

P.S. He's the one in black.

He's latched onto the Ukraine thing pretty good. Hopefully this will be nothing more than posturing, and it does not lead into an actual war.

PS: the black knight reminds me of a few SW'ers.

@Northwest British foreign policy is like an angry Chiwawa (which thinks it's rottweiler) yapping behind its body-builder owner.

@Burnley123 I used to get CBC in my BC home, back before wide-spread streaming, and some of the best skits I've seen were from the CBC when Blair, post 9/11 was trying to be Bush's Chiwawa.

@Northwest My student political activism was a part of the Stop the War coalition. I'm also a proud Corbynista. I'm technically a member of the same political party as Tony Blair but I'm going to politely state that I'm not his biggest fan!

Aww bless but of course Monty Python had way more class :P
As I see it the Tories are past masters at revamping themselves. That astounding ability to repackage themselves and present a new, fresh face to the public come election time. Yet this time they have tied themselves so tightly and firmly to the "Global Britain/Brexit" mast that any revamp will be difficult. As the full reality of the Brexit disaster emerges from under the current Covid cover, the Tories will need every trick in the book to present an electable face.

Yet, sadly, I would not put it past them.
Our Tories are imploding right now too.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Is it a right/left civil war? Post me an article please cos I'm the one Brit on here who wants to know about Canuck politics.
@Burnley123 I will see what I can find that gives more details. But the TLDR is that Erin O'Toole is dealing with a revolt within the party and a challenge to his leadership. He lost an election where the Liberals ran the most disorganized and half assed campaign I have seen in years.

There is also a bit of panic as the more fringe elements of their base (think the Trucker protest nonsense) are looking like they will end up moving to Maxime Bernier's far right protest party further fracturing the vote on the right.

The end result of both is chaos.
