Best wishes to Dr. Fauci

He may not have been perfect, but he's earned a retirement, IMO, after a hell of a ride being on the Trumpist/anti Professional most Wanted list.

Yeah, trying to steer the anti intellectual, anti scientific ship that is the US during these times will send anyone into retirement
SW-User
he's definitely earned a rest, to say the least, after serving a science-free administration during a pandemic. good grief, that must've been a nightmare
@SW-User Indeed. And later, when folks see that he was right, they’ll have to come up with other excuses for their idiocy. 🙁
SW-User
@bijouxbroussard yes, they will. and i'm sure they'll come up with some doozies. 🙄
Ynotisay · M
He had an EXTRAORDINARILY successful tenure. And, as of late, did so in the face of absolute total bullshit that cost hundreds of thousands of manipulated Americans their lives. I really felt for that man. The level of frustration must have been all consuming. We as a country were extremely lucky to have a man like that at the helm. And my overall take, as usual these days, is screw anyone who thinks he was some kind of 'enemy.'
Ynotisay · M
@Fairydust Uh...shove it. Live in a world of make believe enemies if you want. I know how it appeals to the weak. It's the need to blame. Just remember not everyone is like that, ok? Do me a favor though. Remember my profile name and don't write me again. I'm not interested in anything people like you have to say. I prefer a different type of individual. Definitely not someone from the UK popping off about the U.S. Stay in your lane, huh? Thanks.
Fairydust · F
@Ynotisay
Nah that’s you, you live in their make believe world. 🤡 🌍
@Fairydust No, YOU live in the fear-niverse created by the extreme Right echo chamber.

I hope you can climb out of that sometime soon; you seem to be passionate and earnest.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
Dr. Fauci is one of the great Americans who persevered in a time of great need and didn't compromise his principles. I wish him nothing but the best.

The timing is interesting though. After the mid-terms and before the 2024 election. Once he is out of office, he will be free to comment on the anti-scientific and amoral activities of Trump that resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of additional Americans from covid. The number of anti-Fauci comments on this post shows how deeply the deliberate Trump Cult disinformation has penetrated.
BackyardShaman · 61-69, M
I hate the timing, now we’ll see the nutcases claim Trump actually fired him, he stole top secret documents, etc..
@BackyardShaman Like Pelosi, Biden, and others, I think Fauci probably delayed their retirement from public life a little longer then they might have liked.
BackyardShaman · 61-69, M
Wow half a century in Government I had no idea he’d been working that long! @MistyCee
The guy who OK’d AZT for AIDS patients? Yeah. He’s a real gem.
CorvusBlackthorne · 100+, M
@stratosranger Something you care to add, besides what appears to be unreasoning sarcasm? Or were you quite finished?

“May” 🤨 lol

he needs locked up! Not in a retirement home either 😁
@Fairydust He did a great job in the 1980s...which was also a time when nothing was "put in" the vaccines. Fauci didn't develop them, you know...
Fairydust · F
@SomeMichGuy
yeah it didn’t develop then, it’s was way before.
@Fairydust So where did you study immunology & virology?
TinyViolins · 31-35, M
I don't think anybody encapsulated more perfectly the irrational ire of anti-intellectualism more than his last two years as Chief Medical Advisor. The guy was a lightning rod for right-wing hatred.

It was so Orwellian watching this guy get crucified on social media. His crime? Trying to keep as many people safe as possible. It just shows you how many people are letting themselves get eaten alive by fear and anger.
@Slade As if you people weren’t obsessed with Obama for eight years. You still post shit about him and Michelle. Pot, meet kettle.
Slade · 56-60, M
@LeopoldBloom Yeah the media really had quite the coordinated jihad going against your beloved zulu.

That might easily go down as the stupidest attempted comeuppance ever👎
@Slade No, you're not racist at all. What happened, the Klavern isn't meeting tonight? Or they kicked you out when they caught you fucking a male sheep since Klansmen are only supposed to fuck female sheep?
The MAGA cult will be celebrating until they meet his replacement.
Ynotisay · M
@LeopoldBloom You're 100% correct.
Slade · 56-60, M
@LeopoldBloom You are hoping for a real authoritarian right Adolph?
@Slade Projecting again? It's you people who worship Twitler like he's the Second Coming of Christ, or maybe the First Coming.
Wow, reflecting on the comments to this thread, I'm actually surprised at how even the comments are.

I'm not sure what that means, mind you, but it's interesting in terms of my thoughts on posting here and whether this waste of time is even worth it or if I should waste my time in other ways.
gol979 · 41-45, M
Adios Dr Mengele
Ynotisay · M
@gol979 Really curious bud. What exactly did Fauci do to make you say that? Specifically. And let's face it. You don't know anything about Mengele, right? Just a word you picked up on some trash, fascist site. Really curious why someone who doesn't even live in the country would feel the need to spew that shit. Guess when you live in a made up world then boundaries don't matter.
gol979 · 41-45, M
@Ynotisay apart from his obvious lies over covid you might want to check out the open letter from 1988 in a san fran newspaper about mengele, sorry fauci, running experiments on people. Its a long letter hence i didnt post it but if you are curious just type in "fauci, you are killing us". If you cant find it ill post it for you.

Also, whats my location got to do with anything? Can i not comment if i dont reside in said country?
windinhishair · 61-69, M
Dr. Fauci was a target in the 1980s because he insisted on proper clinical trials to investigate AIDS treatments by people who were frustrated by the lack of concern and effort by the Reagan Administration. Dr. Fauci did end up loosening some restrictions on treatments. He has done a great job on COVID despite the efforts of science deniers and anti-vaxxers to use conspiracy theories and junk science in its place. @gol979

Omg 🤦🏻‍♀️

🤮🤢🤮🤮🤢🤢🤢🤮🤢🤮🤢🤮
TexChik · F
I’m sure his retirement will be to a non extradition country, like China . The Joseph Mengele of our time?
SW-User
While I can't see it to verify, why do I get the feeling that a certain "pixie powder" head-up-@ss f-ckwit from the UK is all over this post about US internal matters?
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@SW-User She is, as well as Slade and several others who have me blocked. Since I'm not allowed to report them, I must assume that SW admins want that kind of shit talking to go on here. They must like it when people spread dangerous lies.
SW-User
@LordShadowfire I wish Fauci had Secret Service protection like the Orange Sh-tgibbon (or effing Ivanka for that matter)
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
I'm sure his retiring a few years earlier than he originally intended. Being hated by millions of idiots will take years off your life.

@RogueLoner Yeah, the guy was only working for 45 years, he clearly was drummed out early.
strongbow · 46-50, M
Intentionally maiming, killing and harming 70% of the planet is a service only a democrat can appreciate
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@strongbow I just knew some anti-science dipshit would weigh in with his pathetic excuse for an opinion.

How goes the fight to make Judaism illegal?
