@LegendofPeza There's this dysfunction in the democratic party where they want to pick their republican opponent and it's like we saw how that worked out in 2016. The trouble with political jokes is they tend to get elected in this dysfunctional mess of a republic. America might be better than a lot of other countries but our politics are worse than almost everywhere short of Saudi Arabia and the middle east.

@Grateful4you Well, it's complicated. To understand the problem you have to understand both her father, who wasn't exactly in her favor in going into politics at all, as well as what Wyoming residents are like.

Having lived in Wyoming for six years in the late 70s and early 80s I'm likely one of the few that understand the situation in Wyoming.

They are not exactly racist nor gender intolerant. Just they are not in favor of either in situations of power.

As a for instance, you won't see a lot of colored minorities in Wyoming. Mostly because it's so darn cold there. So while you won't see outright racism there's a reason for it. Same applies to women. The state doesn't like single women. So you are not likely to see any child support if a woman is single.

It goes on and on and on.

Texas on the other hand can be out right racist as well as anti woman in power, yet they do have child welfare for women.

When I lived there I felt sorry for a number of women and took them in at least until they decide to go elsewhere. Usually out of state.

@Grateful4you you won't catch me anywhere near Wyoming anymore. It's a backwards world of a state. The whole state population is around 500 thousand still after being 40 years gone.

The county I currently live in is 8 times larger in population. And it has grown 4 times as much in that 40 years.
