They can ALWAYS agree to vote themselves a raise.

And yet we vote for the same people every election year.

@LordShadowfire I think Richard Pryor had the right idea. There should be a 'none of the above' option.

The best thing that could happen to American politics would be term limits.

Vote in the primaries, my guy. Hell, run for office. If Marge can do it, you can too.

You assume that politicians of either side make decisions for themselves. The Lobby system and campaign financing interests whisper in the ears of both sides of the house to tell them how to vote.. America has the best government money can buy. Until that changes, nothing else will. And that does make Americas future easy to predict..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman You have a good point there.

@Indieoriginal I really wish I didnt...😷
I don't think our election system would put people's representatives there, with the two party system the way it is now.
Maybe if people understood that there's a conflict of interest there, if we had a third party and ranked choice voting, we'd have representation in our government.

@Roundandroundwego IDK, I have been thinking since this uncivil war between the parties started, we would be better off without parties altogether.

Insider trading is a big problem on Wall Street amongst traders and businesses people, not just politicians, looking to get any advantage to get ahead with their investment.
It’s totally unethical.
