How much taxpayer cash should Los Angeles give migrants to help them evade arrest? Mayor Karen Bass just signed legislation to do just that . . .

Photo above - Stranger Things screencap. Millie Bobby Brown does double duty, summoning an undocumented migrant from "the upside down" dimension, as well as promoting Coke in a product placement.

Before you even ask – yes, Los Angeles' infamous water chief (Janisse Quinones) is still at her desk, collecting her $750,000 salary. She’s the bureaucrat who drained the reservoir a few weeks before last year's "worst in history" Palisades fire. The one which incinerated 15,000 homes and 30 people. Janisse is both a direct report to LA Mayor Karen Bass AND her personal friend. Still on the job.

But today’s column is about Mayor Bass paying cash to illegals “to resist the federal government” (her exact quote. See link below).

You’d think California taxpayers would be outraged. So far, not that much. Perhaps the undocumented workers Mayor Bass is throwing money at are below minimum wage maids, nannies, and landscapers for the elites who make campaign contributions?

In any case, there’s a lot of free advice accompanying that free migrant money. "Hide in churches – we’re a sanctuary city". Wait, don’t go to church, ICE agents are breaking down the doors and making arrests. "Wear covid masks in public". No . . . don’t wear masks, because it triggers a stop and frisk. Gee willikers . . there seems to be no way to escape. Unless you pick up a gun and start shooting. No . . . don’t do that either. Someone already suggested illegals should take up arms and shoot uniformed public servants. And then someone did just that, a few days later. Now there's a manhunt to apprehend him. I believe he was wearing a covid mask . . .

Please note that there is NOTHING ILLEGAL about using California taxpayer dollars to help maids, nannies, and landscapers evade arrest. There are no federal laws prohibiting this. Probably no California laws either. And there are no laws against hiring your personal friends with no job experience to pull down $750,000 a year. There are no laws against draining reservoirs during fire season.

All of this could be perfectly okay. Because California is the “upside down”, where citizens who can’t afford to live indoors squat in sidewalk tents, and illegal aliens get free cash.

I’m just sayin’ . . .

@dale74 the judge thing, yes.

i was going to go off on a tangent on how Karen Bass hoped to evade arrest. But she'll probably just seek shelter in a sanctuary church, and then use the arrest as a re-election TV ad:

"Karen Bass - speaking truth to power. hates trump. attends churches which aren't actually hers. donate now"
