Fall of Assad in Syria deals serious blow to Iran’s ‘axis of resistance’

This bodes well for US interest. Also, my own desire to see a more Stable planet and market.

I don't know if it would have any affect on Iran really. Assad was fighting the Kurds and Al Qaeda (think ISIS) from Iraq. And the Kurds and Al Qaeda despise each other. The Kurds were kicked out of Iraq. Not Iran. Why the Kurds were in Syria and Turkey. Turkey itself had problems with the Kurds before Trump came in the first time. And Russia played interference between the two.

These Russian sympathizers keep forgetting about the full extent of Russian interference. Russia needs Iran for drones. Russia cares little for the Iraq situation.
@DeWayfarer True. Other than Assad, Russia is the big loser here. Russia had an airbase and a naval base in Syria and has lost both. Assad was a Russian puppet whose rule was upheld by Russian bombing campaigns.

But after all his Ukraine losses, Putin was unable to do anything for Assad except give him asylum. I wonder what they're thinking in the puppet state of Belarus.
