Syria, the broken state.
It all started with a civil war against bashar al assad
Putting aside who started it and how it escalated and who instigated it aside , let me explain to you who’s involved.
The big players :
Iran (& its proxy hizbollah) and Russia got involved to support Assad’s Syria as it is their ally and together they committed various heinous massacres against Syrians.
Turkey got involved to make sure Kurds don’t get to create a country for them and to spread its influence in the region.
America got involved to weaken bashar’s Syria and to counter Russia’s influence. it has also committed various human right violations and
strategically positioned itself in the parts of Syria that have oil and we all know why.
Saudi also got involved to counter Iran’s influence in the region and for its own benefits too.
Israel also has always occupied part of Syria since pre civil war so it’s also part of the game “I have a piece of Syria “.
And of course Isis & Al qaeda did find a place to thrive on and off in this broken state since the civil war broke out.
So to best explain Syria , it’s a fallen fruit where mites ants and cockroaches are all fighting over it .
While I am ignorant about politics I tried my best to tell you the story of Syria in the simplest words possible from my prospective.
