@BlueVeins Because it was never there...... If you're talking about the annexation of Crimea, that was back in 2014. Putin never invaded Ukraine during the Trump years for two reasons. One, Trump was pretty much telling Other world leaders to fxck around and find out. Told Putin he'd bomb Moscow if Putin went further into Ukraine. Did the same thing with China, Told Xi he'd bomb China if they went into Taiwan. The other reason is a lot longer. You know Putins Nordstream Pipeline? Previously Russia's oil or gas/power supply was through a pipe that went through Ukraine. Now he wouldn't have wanted a potential power disruption during a potential invasion. So Nordstream pretty much went around that. What Trump did was he put sanctions on the companies building Nordstream, basically halting construction. What does Biden do? When he and Putin had their Summit in 2022, he lifted the sanctions. There was a bi partisan Senate measure a while back that had all Republicans plus 7 Democrats on board, but of course, despite advocating for abolishing it, Chuck Schumer used the Filibuster when it was convenient for him.
Now as far as the gas prices go, I'll have to look into what you mentioned, but just saying, weird how they were a lot lower when the fat Orange guy is in charge. And I guarantee when Biden stops using our reserve oil, they're gonna get even higher.
@Stereoguy Most poor people already use electric stoves, gas stoves are more of a middle class & rich thing. Probably would be cheaper to only run electric lines rather than gas too, the problem to that end is of distribution & subsidies. As for installation, electric & gas stoves are very similar in sticker price.
@Stereoguy Idk, electrification should be subsidized, which was one of the things I liked in the IFR. The whole grid needs a massive investment and has needed it for a while, especially in places like CA and Texas where it's really poorly run.
