Expose secret 'Dark Money' in our politics - Sign the Petition!
Senate Republicans shamefully blocked debate on the DISCLOSE Act, a core component of the Freedom to Vote Act that would shine a light on secret money spending in politics.
So long as Congress is unable to pass this critical legislation, it’ll be up to the Biden Administration to take the needed steps to protect and strengthen our democracy and rebuild public trust in our government.
With the stroke of a pen, President Biden can issue a contractor disclosure executive order which would shine a light on secret money in politics by requiring contractors that receive over $1 million in federal dollars to disclose their political spending. This would be the first major blow to secret money in politics since the Citizens United ruling in 2010.
We cannot continue to allow these groups to anonymously influence our politics with an onslaught of secret money!
