There are a number of possible reasons whyHarris hasn't been to the border and why the Biden administration continues to ignore southern border security. Here are a few possibilities:

(1) Top members of the administration and/or the Democrat party are being funded by those sending and/or receiving fentanyl and other such drugs.

(2) La Mafia and the Mafia have coordinated their businesses and together they have information about the Bidens and/or ranking Democrats that be very embarrassing, and the Biden administration has been blackmailed to force them to look the other way.

Our general understanding of how drug gangs and criminal enterprises have such a stranglehold on Mexico and Central/South American countries extends into the belief that they do so because of corrupt politicians. Why do we assume that Mexican politicians are more corruptible than US politicians? A look-back in our own history says they aren't. The gangster era in the US flourished with the help of crooked politicians. Why do we assume that all ended with the arrest or death of Al Capone, Carlos Marcello, Lucky Luciano, etc.?
