Elizabeth like you I too love the history of the republican party, I like that it was founded as a party against slavery.
I do not feel it resembles its roots at all anymore.
I think Lincoln would be rolling over in his grave about what his party has become.
I LIKE lincoln, the irony is despite my democratic party status I would have sided with the republicans during the civil war. I would have been a radical liberal republican- you know the ones who got chased out of the party from back when it had wings? yeah
I confess- my democratic party was the villian during the civil war. Things have changed.
