And given Trump's job creation history where he is the only President since Hoover to see a net job loss during his failed presidency, Biden added more jobs in one month than Trump did in four years. If fact, Biden has added more jobs during EVERY month of his presidency than Trump did in his four years.
Go troll someone else Gaylight]
Graylight · 51-55, F
@oldschool01 So, no defense for your wretchedness?
@oldschool01

Kid...you just got legitimately called out.
It's not trolling to point out that you are complicit in the vindictive exploitation of Biden's son for no other purpose than causing harm of one kind or another.
Graylight is not the one being a troll.
Grow up.
southbeachguy · 46-50, M
Trump actually had pro job policies. HIs jobs/tax cut act is what is still fueling this economy. Name one policy that Joe Biden has enacted that you think has lead to any of this job growth?
MarineBob · 56-60, M
@helenS should the utilities and airports that are receiving the taxpayer dollars be required to cut the executive salaries
southbeachguy · 46-50, M
IF you wanna make an argument against airport subsidies I am largely with you. Utilities are a bit more complicated. The swipe and executive salaries is just a dumb misdirection.@MarineBob
@MarineBob Sure. Let them charge what the market will bear. If you want to pay full price for flights, knock yourself out.
RopinTexan · 31-35, M
That’s nice, but in the grand scheme of things it’s a pretty minor improvement. It’s probably because of loosening COVID restrictions.
TheArbitrator · 36-40, M
@RopinTexan Actually, that's correct... these are the jobs that we lost during the pandemic. We are recovering those jobs. Still that's not a good sign with inflation and the fact that we are in a recession.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@TheArbitrator Again, not in a recession.
Nanoose · 61-69, M
Yeah Biden has accomplished lots of things that the Trump supporters refuse to give him credit for. Like getting the first Infrastructure Bill in decades past and finding a terrorist behind the 911 attack. Cheers and happy weekend!
southbeachguy · 46-50, M
I do not exactly see your list of accomplishments? I am sure things you think are accomplishments are debatable? Some are just a matter of preference like a supreme court justice for instance. @Nanoose @Nanoose
Nanoose · 61-69, M
@southbeachguy Oh then why did a Trump supporting senator claim that Trump got Bin Ladin when it was really Obama? (she said that about a month ago) Cheers and happy weekend!
southbeachguy · 46-50, M
@Nanoose LOL Is it my job to answer for Trump supporting people of any stripes. I am happy to answer for my views of what Trump and others do as our leaders. I again did not vote for Trump either time. I voted libertarian. I have many libertarian leanings, but did not actually like the candidate In 2020. I think choosing between Clinton and Trump was depressing, I think choosing between Trump and Biden made me nearly suicidal. Honestly Bush and Obama look like Mount Rushmore candidates in comparison.

I'm not an evangelical so I don't think of everything in terms of "worship" or "not worship". Lol. The fact is the president often has little direct effect on the ups and downs of the economy but will get blamed or credited depending on whether you support or don't support them.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@southbeachguy Trump had literally no policies. His entire presidency will be remembered for never once proposing a point-by-point plan for a single thing. Trump's economic policy was keep his cronies working and rich so that he, in turn would stay rich and well-owed. If his base started thinking Republicans were worthless, he'd suddenly hate Republicans. And you can believe it because he used to be a long-time Democrat.

I don't imply in any way the Dems have it figured out, but cleaning house starts with recognizing the trash for what it is and clearing the place of it.

@SW-User They're words. I'm not religious. Many words, many meanings, many shades.
southbeachguy · 46-50, M
Record wage growth in the bottom quartile during the Trump years. Grew faster than the other 3 quartiles. So you may think all he cared about were the rich (you might be right) but the record indicates the poorest among us did the best in relative terms. I could not be happier to see that myself. @Graylight
summersmiles · 51-55, F
@Graylight that's true about Trump leaning heavily Democratic. I remember him on the Howard Stern show praising the Clintons and saying Republicans always crash the economy. He suddenly decided he was Republican when right wing voters began treating him like God on Earth.
Great as this economy is.......this is one of the prime reasons we have inflation. More working....for higher wages than ever.....means people have more cash to spend. The down side of a super hot economy....caused by more working so they have more money to spend......is inflation. To cure inflation......sad as it is.....will be to slow the economy...to stop companies from expanding......so they cannot hire more people and in fact lay off workers. When unemployment goes up........spending slows. When spending slows....companies get it that they can't keep raising prices to gouge us. Prices drop to "normal" levels for goods...gasoline.......consumer goods......and that is the end of inflation. The cure to inflation is to make the economy worse.............crazy as that sounds.

@southbeachguy You are so tunnel vision one dimensional in your thinking that telling you why inflation exists now is someting ur incapable of grasping. Your "chart" makes no mention of any factor other than employment figures. No mention on how world wide inflation is affecting us. No mention of increased wages. No mention of the war in Ukraine affectiong gasoline prices...fertilizer prices...grain price increases. No mention of tge pandemic and how that has affected inventory or supply chain issues. No mention of gouging. No mention of increased pricing in lumber to build more homes...apartments. You are clueless.
southbeachguy · 46-50, M
@anythingoes477 All you seem to have is hate for Republicans? What is that you are so proud of Democrats for doing? What are your ideal economic policies? Mine are no corporate income tax, all dividend are paid as regular income. Social Security and Medicare payroll taxes are eliminated. Overtime pay at 1.5 x is voluntary. Just as a starter list.
@southbeachguy I have ZERO hate for Republicans. I have ZERO respect for trump fascists. Republicans and trump fascists NOT the same thing. Your comments shows you have ZERO concept of economics........and are either a troll or a whole new level of stupid. I'll give you benefit of a doubt.........troll.
southbeachguy · 46-50, M
Just for kicks name 3 things Biden has done that you think are horrible. Trump 1) was mean spirited and not empathetic. 2) Trump lead a very incoherent Covid response. 3) Trump signed ridiculous federal budgets.@anythingoes477
@southbeachguy You don't read very well. do you??? What in what I say in my posts seems to you like I'm dissing Biden and bragging on Trump?????????
TheArbitrator · 36-40, M
We're in a recession. That says everything
Graylight · 51-55, F
@TheArbitrator No, we're not in a recession by any economic indicators. Moreover, a recession is no longer expected.
@TheArbitrator We are? Gosh call the Fed. I know they dont know that.....but then again none of those bankers and PhD economists have degrees in YouTube economics like you do, huh?
@TheArbitrator A recession with record low unemployment and a recovering stock market.

What you mean is "we're in a period when a Democrat is in the White House"
