What do think about this Jan. 6th commity strategy?

The Jan. 6th committee plans to use its Thursday night hearing to call out insurrection-friendly lawmakers who cowered during the Capitol attack but have since downplayed the insurrection’s severity. They have plans to paint a really striking picture of how some of Trump’s greatest enablers of his coup plot were — no matter what they’re saying today — quaking in their boots and doing everything shy of crying out for their moms. When Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-Ga) claimed the insurrection was a normal tourist visit social media users quickly located photos of the Georgia Republican gasping in terror and hiding behind an armed Capitol police officer pointing a handgun at a barricaded entrance to the Senate floor. I think it is a good strategy and it will open the eyes of a lot of Americans. Cheers!
The only way it will mean anything is if Trump and his gang of crooks actually go to prison. But in a country where the rich and powerful don't face justice, I don't see this happening.

I think ultimately what they're doing is laying out what will eventually be a criminal case so there's no surprise, no wiggle room, and thee evidence will all be neatly compiled.

Those who follow Trump will keep doing so; they actually don't believe they're part of the problem as long as they don't say the ugly parts out loud. Those who already accept reality and common sense don't need to be swayed.

This is the careful and open crafting of a large criminal case. And if nothing else, it's a record for the future. It's a letter that tries to explain and apologize for what future generations will be left with. And maybe - just maybe - it finally acts as some kind of caution that will be heeded.
Okay. Whatever. Obviously american people are out of the loop. The two parties are in charge.
It's important to stress what happened and to prove that nothing we know ever changes anything. It's a huge show all about how the Dems enabled trump and there's nothing we can do about it.

It's more partisan theater. You and the people held in thrall to this eat it up, the rest of us wouldn't even know about it if not for posts like this....

Getting all the information is one thing, not getting lost in the detail when presenting it to make the most impact - that’s not easy. That’s also where the Democrats are most likely to loose the moment of opportunity.

When are they going to ask Pelosi why she didn't want the National Guard there? Oh yeah that would destroy there evil little scam.

@ron122 The president of the United States is the commander-in-chief for the District of Columbia National Guard. Command is exercised through the secretary of defense and the commanding general, Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ), District of Columbia National Guard.

The Capitol Police is overseen by The Capitol Police Board which is made up of the House and Senate sergeants-at-arms, as well as the Capitol architect. The Capitol Police chief serves in a non-voting capacity on the board, according to the Capitol Police website.

Pelosi was not a chair or administrator of any committee supervising the Capitol Police at the time of the insurrection. She's not listed on any of those committees' websites today, either.

It also helps to remind people of the real reason the GOP wanted nothing to do with an investigation of any kind.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
I agree. Show the world what these people are made of.

@LordShadowfire Yeah show the world what they are made of and how low they will go. Cheers!
