Will Trump be indicted in Georgia ?

Dainbramadge · 56-60, M
Nope. Just like all the other attempts this too shall fall flat on the floor.
SW-User
@Dainbramadge And I don't have a crystal ball to say what charges there will be.
I'll be honest, though, but it's fairly late here and I think I'm done going over the backs and forths of this case. I've already broken my vow to myself not to get embroiled in debates on politics as it is :P
I will leave it here by saying that you are somewhat different to most of the other Trump supporters on here, in that you are at least prepared to listen, even if you don't agree, so thank you :)
Dainbramadge · 56-60, M
@SW-User this is so funny because I also vowed to avoid political posts at all costs about 6 months ago. LOL
I do seriously just want to understand. If I can't ask someone like you why you think the way you do then I will never get any smarter or understand other viewpoints any better than my imagination will allow me.
Also I do live in an echo chamber. Not by choice mind you it's just everyone I know things like I do. So I need some place like similar world so I can be exposed to people that aren't just like me. That don't think just like me on every single topic
Thanks again this actually turned out to be a pretty good exchange.

GrinNude · 61-69, C
Of course. Why not? Tape recorded evidence cannot be cross-examined. His own words convict him. But the question is: are there 12 out of 12 people in these United States who value Justice more than racism?
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@GrinNude Well you can never second guess what a jury might decide , but yeah the call alone is enough to indict.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
Yes, he will be indicted and charged in Georgia. He won't be tried any time soon due to the delays his attorneys will create. I doubt anyone will try him prior to 2024.
GrinNude · 61-69, C
@windinhishair I believe his ability to delay things indefinitely expired with his presidency.
JohnOinger · 41-45, M
@windinhishair how is he able to get away with crimes and avoid going to prison
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@JohnOinger A few reasons. 1) He bullies people into doing his dirty work, and discards them or throws them under the bus so they take the blame, not him. 2) He keeps few records and most commands are verbal ones. 3) Any records he does keep are illegally destroyed if they are subpoenad. 4) He lies about everything--he even lies about lying. 5) He uses the legal system as a weapon to delay delay delay delay delay until the other side gives up. 6) He refuses to obey subpoenas and does not comply with court orders, forcing the legal system to bog down in a morass of other charges.
GrinNude · 61-69, C
Stop saying that he's untouchable. He isn't.

Al Capone was untouchable. John Gotti was untouchable.

Such men are untouchable right up to the moment when they aren't.
smiler2012 · 56-60
@GrinNude 😆let us hope the american judicial system you have faith in comes up trumps [no itended pun there ] .puts that liar and crook where he belongs behind bars
melbeacher · 56-60, M
I sure hope so !
smiler2012 · 56-60
do not know the amount of evidence against trump but 🤞crossed . there has too be something teflon don cannot get away with surely [rodionromanovitch]
Dainbramadge · 56-60, M
@smiler2012 if you haven't heard it yet there's a condensed version of the audio from the phone call that he had.
You'll have to scroll down and go through 40 comments though to find it. And it is the clip at the top of the page that isn't an advertisement. LOL
The audio clip is a Cherry picked, so to speak, compilation of all the supposed illegal things that he said he wanted done.
I don't understand how he's not already sitting in jail.
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@LordShadowfire One of life's great mysteries.
@RodionRomanovitch I think an orange jumpsuit would do him good. It might make his face look a more natural color by comparison.
cycleman · 61-69, M
@LordShadowfire paid off to look another way.
It's a ballsy play, but I think it's more likely that Fulton County will try it before the DOJ.
DunningKruger · 61-69, M
One can only hope.
TexChik · F
Questioning very shady democrat election activity will always get a conservative threatened with being indicted. Just like the last two impeachment scams and the NY indictment threat . When it’s time to prove it, libs drop all charges. 🙄
TexChik · F
@GrinNude how can they prove anything when Obama appointed judges deny their case before it’s heard , and you haven’t a clue what went on because you refuse to listen. Fortunately the law doesn’t work that way and there is very compelling evidence with regulars to the fraud and the illegal changes made to state voting law by elected democrat officials and not the state leader . That’s a constitutional no no !
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@TexChik None of that alters the fact that , despite exhaustive investigations and recounts , no concerted efforts of voter fraud were discovered.

Giuliani said they 'had theories but no evidence' and Bill Barr said it was all bullshit.
SW-User
@TexChik we are talking about an audio recording between two republicans ..one of which is doing his job..the other is trying to “find “ 11,780 votes.

Stop deflecting and read the WSJ coverage.✌🏼
BackyardShaman · 61-69, M
Possibly since he and others in his administration clearly broke serious laws.
cycleman · 61-69, M
Doesn't he just appeal and appeal and appeal till the others can no longer afford the legal matters?
GrinNude · 61-69, C
@cycleman Not this time. Thank God.
@cycleman The United States, and a few States, etc., will be against him.
JohnOinger · 41-45, M
Probably not hes gotten away with alot of crimes so im not holding my breath
GrinNude · 61-69, C
@JohnOinger I'm not holding my breath either but I do believe this time is different. No one escapes their karma indefinitely.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@GrinNude From your lips to God's ears.
Jenna76 · 41-45, F
I've always felt that was the one where there was a real chance.
GrinNude · 61-69, C
@Jenna76 We think so too.
Carissimi · 70-79, F
Carissimi · 70-79, F
@SW-User @RodionRomanovitch Stop talking rot! You lunatics are obsessed with Trump, and wanting to blame him for something he didn’t do. That clown show/kangaroo court is a sham. They are who should be in jail.
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@Carissimi We're not talking about the Jan 6 Committee , in case you hadn't noticed. And you don't get to convene a Grand Jury by 'talking rot'.
SW-User
@Carissimi Oh dear🤭
DoubleRings · 51-55, F
Money talks.
DoubleRings · 51-55, F
@GrinNude LOL won’t happen. i wish it would but it won’t.
GrinNude · 61-69, C
@DoubleRings

DoubleRings · 51-55, F
@GrinNude Keep your hopes up then. I sure won’t be disappointed either way.
jim44444 · 70-79, M
Nope. He is slick enough to always have a fall guy.
@jim44444 Like our former property manager.
No. Murka doesn't want to be divisive.

RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@bijouxbroussard After yesterday , and listening to that phone call again , I honestly can't see how he isn't.
@RodionRomanovitch So many times it seemed inevitable, if the law were being followed— yet it didn’t happen. So I honestly can’t predict anything in that regard. When and if he’s indicted, only then will we know.
RodionRomanovitch · 56-60, M
@bijouxbroussard This just seems different somehow. Fani Willis has been quite explicit about the fact that she is going to investigate , and reach a charging decision , without fear or favour. Just on what we heard at the hearing the other day you'd expect there to be enough there there. But her Grand Jury has likely heard much more besides and it would be unfathomable (at least to me) if they weren't to recommend charging. Then it really would be game on.
