He is as guilty as his predecessors, they should ALL be ashamed as this isn't a new problem, after every mass shooting we hem and haw and do absolutely fucking NOTHING, SHAME on ALL of them! 😖

@MarmeeMarch Why permit them to get the gun in the first place? Kind of like closing the barn door after the horse escapes, no?
This message was deleted by its author.

I dont understand.... He's been president only for couple of years..... and how many years has this been going on??

I am not supporting him but with apologies, your question does not make sense if you want to say something against him....

It's,not easy for any president since this is in your constitution... second amendment...
@SW-User This is the same country that had its own system of American apartheid when I was a child. Anyone who ever saw it as a model for human rights was woefully ignorant about the realities here.
SW-User
@bijouxbroussard I agree. Still we keep lecturing other countries about human rights and put our head everywhere where is not required. Most of the human rights activism that we support is a cover for some oppression. When an intervention is very much required we are either helpless or our intervention doesn't very well fit into the scheme of the propagandists.
It is good to remind ourselves that we are a nation that stands on top of the dead bodies of many native Americans.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Soossie And who do you think was behind that shooting in Las Vegas? Not one man that’s for damned sure.
kodiac · 22-25, M
Ok a question to the ban guns crowd .How do you plan on confiscating every single gun in the United States? How will you deal with violating the constitution? How will you know you got every single gun from public hands? Will people simply line up and hand over all weapins? Will you use military to force people? Seems to me it's impossible.
Elessar · 26-30, M
@kodiac Just follow what other first world countries did? It's not that the U.S. would be the first country to regulate guns, at all...
Harmonium1923 · 51-55, M
@Elessar Seriously. Pick ANY other country and do what they do.
Elessar · 26-30, M
@Harmonium1923 It's probably the laziest argumentum I've ever heard for defending the status quo, lol
Harmonium1923 · 51-55, M
Really? You’re blaming a Democratic President for the lack of gun control legislation in this country?
DunningKruger · 61-69, M
And what do you expect the President to do when Congress, governors and state houses refuse to do anything?
4meAndyou · F
He AND his administration have taken great pains to pretend that the greatest danger to the United States is DOMESTIC TERRORISM. They did manage to accomplish that.

And who are the domestic terrorists? Anyone who doesn't roll over. Parents, Christians, and silly people who still believe in the Constitution and don't want our country to become the next evil communist nation. People who believe in the 2nd amendment for sure. People who might become the domestic militia to fight China and Iran when they arrive on our soil. They all have to be eliminated.

What Biden and his administration SHOULD do is beef up monitoring of gun displays on the internet...because mentally ill teenagers plus gun displays on the internet and showing off online equals horrific acts.
4meAndyou · F
@SW-User The entire world looks to the United States. They take their cues from us, and they take their hope from us. In six months, we hope to ameliorate this situation. We have a system of checks and balances in our government, and hopefully, they will be strong enough to overcome the present sad state of the nation.

@RogueLoner I was re-reading some of my early posts, and was reminded of the CIA's involvement with the mainstream media. In 1950, the CIA formed a link with the media. They PROVIDE our media with the news stories they wish to run.

Iwillwait · M
The Amendment did not kill those children. A person did. A mentally unstable person who took access of a weapon. Rewind this to a no gun existing and the headline may of read, "XYZ number of children bludgeon to death by baseball bat."
Iwillwait · M
@spjennifer my point here is he was there to kill, and would be any means.
spjennifer · 56-60, T
@Iwillwait Agreed but would he have had the ability to kill so many in such a short time span without access to an AR15?
Iwillwait · M
@spjennifer I agree, it's sad.
Harriet03 · 41-45, F
The 'pro life' mob will block any form of gun control!
😕
Iwillwait · M
@Harriet03 ironically sad, but true.
@Harriet03 Watch as the story evolves and the psycopathic character of this person comes out to have been seen and ignored or downplayed. Such comments are already starting to surface.

A guy in Wisconsin drove a vehicle through a parade of people, killing several. An internet search the right fertilizer and some diesel fuel (Oklahoma City) and you can take out a big portion of a school. Bombings are more common elsewhere than here in the U.S. for mass killings and can be far more deadly.

I've got no issue with some additional restrictions on gun ownership, but they won't solve this alone. We need better intervention processes and mental health treatment here as well. We need people calling police to report dangerous behavior rather than brushing it off, allowing someone with mental health issues to spiral like all of these mass shooters have been shown to have done. I'm sure there are other factors as well.
@Harriet03 Fascinating, isn’t it ? And none of them get the irony.
Barefooter25 · 46-50, M
When Biden was in the Senate, he was the one who spearheaded the "Gun Free Zone" legislation in the early 90s. Most of these shootings occurred at schools where these signs are posted. It doesn't take rocket science for a deranged criminal to figure out what to do is they see a "Gun Free Zone" sign in front of a school.
@Barefooter25 Oh, and now you're doing the whatabout shit. Are you just going to go down the line of cliches today?
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Barefooter25 Those homicides are part of the same problem, with largely similar solutions. Urban violence is often related to poverty, which many people, including myself, support reducing through social programs.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@Barefooter25 biden has never been on the correct side of any legislation
Zaphod42 · 46-50, M
In spite of what Orange Julius tried to claim, the president isn’t all powerful. Gun control and reform is a legislative thing and is up to congress.
Elessar · 26-30, M
@Zaphod42 Trump isn't worth even a single toe of the original Julius, just saying 😅 one led an army fighting in the frontline himself, the other got himself exonerated with "bone spurs"..
Northwest · M
Let's not worry about Joe, and instead worry about how our own citizens, namely you, don't know the first thing about the US Constitution.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
Congress and the electorate...
You know, where legeslation is supposed to be made and those that vote for legeslators. Because we don't want the executive branch to become a dictatorial power.
JaggedLittlePill · 46-50, F
He cant change gun laws

There are three branches of government.

Get yourself together and figure out how the system is supposed to work and start calling on the people who CAN make change.

That would be House and Senate.
SW-User
@JaggedLittlePill It is a pity that he seems like powerless.
@SW-User Seems like you don't know who actually writes laws in the US. SAD!!
windinhishair · 61-69, M
He is addressing the House and the Senate, which comprise Congress and is the legislative body of government. All legislation must pass both the House and the Senate. The President can support or propose legislation, but without congressional action, nothing happens. He can issue Executive Orders to accomplish some things, but they can and often are undone by future presidents and can be overridden by congressional legislation.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
Right? Somebody remind him he is President.

I mean, we all know he didn't write this...he has a team that handles his Twitter account.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@PatKirby I like to say you wouldn't trust this guy to cook his own dinner, but he's running the country???? 😳😂
PatKirby · M
@SumKindaMunster
Exactly, he's the type to leave the stove on, leave his brain off then leave the house. I do give him credit though, he left a dim light on upstairs but there's clearly no one home.

Burnley123 · 41-45, M
What can he do?

Its a Republican dominant Supreme Court and a tied legislature. In a universe where he had power to make a decision on this, you could judge him
Graylight · 51-55, F
The president doesn't have any ultimate power to unilaterally solve the gun crisis in America.

Those issues need to be argued, presented as legislation and voted on. Every single term, the GOP has the chance to change the rules and every single term they choose the opposite. Every single term, US citizens have the chance to have their voices heard, but their voices choose freedom over sanctity of life.
@Graylight Which is particularly ironic since they also sacrificed women’s freedoms supposedly in the name of "life". Make sure that unwanted children are born—so that wanted children can be murdered in their classrooms

Guns could be bought as easily as hammers in the 1950s .. no mass shootings like this. Very different now with much more uniform gun control laws and criminal history checks.

It isn't inherently the guns .. its the mental health problems and the soulless cowards willing to lash out and take their issues out on the most vulnerable among us rather than just take their own life.
4meAndyou · F
@Stillwaiting This particular shooter had just shot his own grandmother in the face. She is actually still alive, in serious condition at the moment, and it would be wondrous if she survived and could tell us why he shot HER. That would give us some insight.
@4meAndyou I'm well aware and agree.
Virgo79 · 61-69, M
Older post i know, but I'm thinking all these people commenting should just go someplace they wont be scared of someone owning a gun
It's really easy, theres several countries
Virgo79 · 61-69, M
@windinhishair well no one knows more than you🤷‍♂️
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Virgo79 Most Republicans are cowards inside, which is why they need weapons to feel safe leaving their safe space at home.
Virgo79 · 61-69, M
@windinhishair most wind bags hide behind their keyboard and call everyone else a coward
Is he really! 🤔
@Graylight My head isnt in the clouds like so many. Life must be so simple for you. Just keep following the 🐑 you’ll b lead far....SMH...
Graylight · 51-55, F
@WhisperingAngel My belief system -you know, the one you claim to understand - is more esoteric and eclectic then I could even explain to your mind. You are a sheep, blindly listening to and accepting claims wholly without evidence. And you use those claims to give yourself eternal salvation. How convenient.
@Graylight The beauty of living in America...freedom of speech....the beauty of SW we all have an opinion.
Majorsite · 61-69, M
It's communist's like creepy Joe that We need to own guns to defend against !
senghenydd · M
If Americans don't like it they should actively protest about it, I live in a country where guns are prohibited and believe me that causes problems to, we are like sheep trampled over by corrupt authorities if we had guns a lot of corruption in the UK wouldn't exist.
@senghenydd Do you honestly think that if you had guns, you could actively intimidate your government with them? That's the dumbest thing I've heard all night.
wildbill83 · 36-40, M
oh look, a pedophile using the Lord's name in vain...

though I seriously doubt he has the brains to compose a coherent sentence himself, just more platitudes from his speech writers...
ArishMell · 70-79, M
It's your country and only you residents can solve your problem that baffles the rest of the world, but is one of the biggest difficulties is it forever being used as a party-political matter?

Although any action has to be at national governmental level, surely the problem itself is a very deep and difficult social matter, not political or judicial?

After all your nation's political and legal systems were designed to serve society, irrespective of the Party in government at the time; not vice-versa.
Rhode57 · 56-60, M
Dont waste your breath the US is lost their own president is ineffective , the country is going to shit civilised morality is lost . The only difference between them and the american indians they all but wiped out is the indians used bow and arrows and they use guns but exactly the same savage mentality . (We have the right to own guns , we have the right to protect ourselves , even if it means killing others , if you take our guns we will kick off like spoilt toddlers and shoot and kill because we can ) So civilised .
Elessar · 26-30, M
He's a president, not a king. He can't do much if more than half the house and more than half the senate are against such proposal.
The president is not a god. You know like you are used to.
SW-User
[c=4C0073]"we have to act" .. erm otay, then act ! ffs[/c]
SW-User
Why is god and gun always used togeather when this happens ? One has nothing to do with the other, maybe that is part of the problem 🤔
I really don’t get why you can’t solve this hideous gun culture in the USA .
MasterLee · 56-60, M
We stop hindering people from defending themselves. We vote out all gun grabbers. We protect kids from the insane.
Adstar · 56-60, M
Why is a Democrat who push a secular anti-God run America appealing repeatedly to God in this post????
Changeisgonnacome · 61-69, F
We don't believe in using words anyway. Guns. Tanks and missiles.
GerOttman · 61-69, M

Majorsite · 61-69, M
I'm not sure He ever knew !
Zonuss · 41-45, M
Presidents dont make laws or control government.
The World Order does. You will get that one day soon. 🙂
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Zonuss I see. So if you ignore all the data and statistics collected in the US and around the world, and rely on individual stories instead, you can conclude that not only that all the vaccines don't work, but they are really killing people en masse. Fascinating.

So have the mass deaths been happening all along and no one has been tracking them, or are they still coming at some distant future date?
Zonuss · 41-45, M
@windinhishair The data is false. Ive seen enough evidence of that myself in the real world. But of course we know people like you dont live a real life to begin with. 🙂
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Zonuss All of the data worldwide is false, because you have.......stories! So bet your life on an anecdote or two and deny the reality around you.

You still haven't told me when the mass deaths from the vaccines will kick in, or if they already have.
It looks like you might need this reminder. I found an article that should break it down for people on your educational level:
