Wishful thinking aside, if we imprison Trump, his deranged followers will tear the country apart.

Reasonable people can't let the lunatic fringe dictate justice. If we do, there is no justice. If they rip the nation apart, we will just have to arrest them, charge them, try them, and send them to prison if justified, then put things back together.
