Hypocrisy of media

When a non Muslim ( Christian ,Catholic , hindu etc)
does a school shooting , kills ,bombs , pulls an armed robbery etc
Which happens on a daily basis in let us say hmm America
Nothing about their religious background in the news article.
But if it’s a Muslim , their religion it is all over the headline.
That is pure hypocrisy that some people fail to see.
A propaganda since 2001.

people expect that 2 billion Muslims from all races are “all “ peaceful , law abiding and follow Islamic teachings.
When even during prophet Mohammed time he used to go around and lecture the “Muslims “ for their wrong actions.

In reality , the majority are the kindest people you’d ever meet.

Their religion is all over the news, only when they use it as a justification to commit their crimes.

Unless you're watching Fox News, the mainstream media goes out of its way to respect Muslim religious sensitivities.

It really matters very little how hospitable Muslims, in general are, if you were a passenger on one of the flights that were used as suicide bombs on 9/11.
@Northwest
“And yet, with the exception of the one media source I mentioned, you cannot come up with any examples.”

it’s all over the news.
every time a Muslim does a crime their religion comes first before anything
I don’t need to quote a specific source or a news article.
Anyone who watches the news and lives in our world knows the kind of toxic media towards Muslims Im talking about .

And again why are so bent on me convincing you ? I literally said I don’t care if you don’t believe.
it’s not like the world would fall apart if we don’t agree if the media is biased or not
——

Im talking about the influence of media and its propaganda so yes
Iraq and it’s lack of coverage
Is right on point
Especially that you are the one who mentioned 9/11 not me

If according to you there is no such thing as media propaganda
Explain to me the lack of coverage between iraq massacre and 9/11?

——
“ And earlier you painted a religion of 2 billion people and what kind of people follow it due to a crime committed by a terrorist group in 2001”

If that was a lie said by me
Then please clear to me my misunderstanding
What did I misunderstand from your first comment so I apologize if I indeed said something wrong ?
We all make mistakes
If I did
Im more than happy to apologize for it

In that case, you should have no problem citing an example.
If that was a lie said by me
Then please clear to me my misunderstanding
Do you understand what the expression "proving a negative" means? if you don't look it up.

So, when you say that I "And earlier you painted a religion of 2 billion people and what kind of people follow it due to a crime committed by a terrorist group in 2001", when in fact I did not, it is up to you to show where I did.
@Northwest
“Cite an example “
That’s the thing I do not need to cite an example
It’s the media in general.
Islam phobia became a thing due to the media and it’s provocation and propaganda.
It would take all day to compare and cite .
Im more than happy to send you links articles videos papers
This weekend when I’m free

^
So the point you were trying to make was no matter how good the majority of Muslim are , Many people especially Americans won’t see that due to 9/11?
unfortunately, I agree which is sad from their part.
I am sorry I misunderstood you
That is my bad

this reminds me of those school shooters being treated like the victims who just needed mental help cuz they're white but they arrested some arab person for their school project cuz they thought its a bomb, hypocrisy at its finest
Chances are the person isn’t doing it as a statement about their religion—they have other reasons, aggrieved about losing a job, feeling bullied, etc. None of it is justifiable.
@Islamreligion At no point would I say you are incorrect about that. Some people in the U.S. have become afraid of Muslims. But many people here are afraid of anyone they perceive as different from the mainstream.
@bijouxbroussard
That’s the point I wanted to address
Since 2001 and media propaganda
People became afraid of Muslims
When Before they weren’t.
And hate attacks against Muslims rose significantly since then.
Where in fact , the majority of Muslims globally are peaceful
@Islamreligion Sadly, yes.

You're not wrong on this point, though none of our recent shootings appear to be religiously-based. It's typically much more about mental health in a costume of religion that leads to spectacles like mass shootings.

But you are correct in that it's difficult for a Christian-based, self-proclaimed infallible culture to admit when it's their own who are at the heart of the discord. Much, much easier to point out others with simple markers like religion, appearance, skin tone, orientation and the like.

I'd add the prefix American media.
It's a bit different in the UK. Believe me, if the person was Irish Catholic it would be mentioned.
@basilfawlty89 I was laughing because you are correct , not to show disrespect.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@Islamreligion oh okay, no problem then. Just a sensitive topic as my mum's side has Irish Catholic ancestry.
@basilfawlty89 sure you can explain to me the story
