Yes. However it seemed to me at the time that they should have tried [i]buying[/i] his extradition from the Taliban, rather than launching a war that cost many lives.

George Bush did announce that the Taliban had a certain deadline for handing over Bin Laden, and if that deadline passed, the US would invade.

In our history, our US gov’t has missed so many opportunities or simply spurned them and the persons who reached out The United States...how much better we might have been and how many countless lives might have been spared.
