No idea who he is or what he's accused of, but I guess he has no right to good legal defense?

He punched his girlfriend in the face, and then ran over her with his car. He was put in jail and the DA set the bail at $1,000.
He posted the bail, and two days later he was captured on video, breaking through a police barricade and driving his SUV through a crowded Christmas parade. He killed five people at the scene, and around 45 were taken to the hospital. There were 18 children in the hospital, and one of them died two days ago while undergoing brain surgery.
He's been in and out of prison for the last 20 years. He has a fifty page rap sheet.
The GoFundMe account was to raise the 5 million for his bail, so he could get out and terrorize more people.
