Assuming Trump makes good on his threat to run again in 2024, why do you think he wants to be president again?

Poll - Total Votes: 12
Because he's a selfless, highly experienced politician who cares deeply about the average American
Because it's the only way he will get his Twitter account back

You can only vote on one answer.
More like, it's a great way for him to continue to fleece his cult.

Trump's vagueness on this issue isn't doing the Republican Party any favors. As long as there's a possibility of him running, no other Republican can declare their candidacy or even start building a campaign operation or soliciting donations, as Trump would immediately attack them as a potential rival. But if Trump waits too long to reveal that he's not running, that may not allow enough time for anyone else to adequately prepare for their own run.

He will never be president again .. Mark My words
@SW-User He would never agree to be second fiddle to anyone.
SW-User
@LeopoldBloom well I think we would know who is really in command, and I think whoever he runs with would probably be in on it (think Medvedev and Putin).
@SW-User Trump is an egotist, and wouldn't want to be Vice President even if it was clear that he would be in charge, like Dick Cheney was during the Bush presidency.

Well...Twitter says that even IF he becomes president...again...he will still be banned permanently. He gets a lot of money from his donors for just saying he's running, which is then syphoned into his legal battles.

He cares little if any, for the average American. He only cares for himself.

The opportunity for him to scam even more out of the USA and it’s citizens.

@DavidT8899 It's a fact that Trump played down both the virus and the vaccine (because of his personal hatred for Fauci) and his supporters believed him. It's a fact that Donald Trump is a loser. It's a fact that you clearly have some sort of personal hatred for Biden as it is you who mentioned him.

There's no point in further discussion

@DavidT8899 No I think it’s you who are confused - Trump lost the Popular vote and the Electoral College - accept it and move on.
DavidT8899 · 22-25, M
@Dlrannie Oh,but I have-although I still suspect there was some sort of manipulation going on.But I concede that it hasn't as yet been proven, and I don't deny the fact, unfortunate as it is,that Joe Biden is President. But consider this:when big tech LITERALLY BLOCKED the story of Hunter Bidens laptop from the internet, that clearly WAS a form of election fraud.

Power and perceived approval. Nothing more, nothing less.

If he does run and I'm not sure his ego will allow him to risk losing again, it will be to attempt to get out of all his legal and financial troubles.

To raise donations and if he should win, to avoid the ever mounting criminal and civil suits against him.
For the same reason he ran the first time. His ego.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow He's the de facto head of the GOP and the front runner for the nomination in 2024, so it's appropriate for the media to cover him. When he's dead or in prison, they can stop.
@LeopoldBloom The problem is the way it is covered and the next election is not for a long time. That is part of why other countries don't indulge this sort of thing because it reinforces the cult of personality. The road to hell and all that.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow In general, our election season is way too long. If Trump were to announce tomorrow that he's not running, a bunch of other Republicans would immediately start their campaigns. The only thing stopping them now is fear that Trump will attack them in case he does plan to run.

When you're a snake oil salesman, why would you give up on your lucrative trade, when demand remains high?
DoubleRings · 51-55, F
Well so he can talk about himself again.
Majorsite · 61-69, M
Go away moron.
SW-User
@Majorsite Charming. I guess you’re not going to get a good opinion regarding your nudes, now are you…?

I don’t see how he loses now that many red states have declared even if his opponent wins, the state will give the electoral votes to Trump.
SW-User
@LeopoldBloom so in other words, people want democracy to be subverted to let Trump win.

And yet it’s Trump’s own supporters who are crying that their freedom to choose is being taken away from them.
@SW-User Exactly. A large portion of Trump's supporters would be just fine with a dictatorship, as long as their guy was in charge. They're placing "winning" over the democratic process. One thing our constitutional republic requires is a willingness to support the process, even if your side doesn't win. Too many Americans are no longer willing to do that. In their minds, if they lose, that means the process is corrupt.

@LeopoldBloom I heard it said “Who knew our democracy relied on a ‘gentlemen’s agreement.’”
