It left in the 80s

Once the Trump family is completely ruined and disgraced I see no reason why order can't be restored.
Where there's life there's hope though both sides are beating hope to death.

The "real" Republicans. Not the insurrectionist branch.
Pretzel · 61-69, M
they'll need another 9/11 emergency type situation

"Democrats" will have to stop being evil, and republicans will have to grow a backbone.
OggggO · 36-40, M
@Oberon1 Ah, I see you didn't actually read that. It says he didn't involve himself in organized planning of an attack, not that he didn't encourage it then and there in his speech. It doubly doesn't support your claims of it being "timely and convenient" for Democrats.
Oberon1 · 61-69, M
@OggggO You're hopeless dude. Arguing with a pseudo liberal is like trying to take water from one half of a lake and put it in the other half! A complete exercise in futility. On a forum like this, I suppose I can hope that a rationally minded person might be persuaded by reading the context of the exchanges.
OggggO · 36-40, M
@Oberon1 The context of this one being that I called out your bullshit with something you couldn't refute, so you swerved sideways trying to get me to engage your strawman. Meanwhile, it's still 100% true that only one party engaged in an attack on the legislature in an attempt to overturn a valid election.

I think it's over. I don't see the GOP having any interest in governance that serves the people. Their world has become one of conspiracy and enemies. It's not rooted in reality and I'd like to believe that reality still has a place at the table.
TheBannibalOne · 61-69, M
The Democrats destroyed it.
There is no hope in hell.😎
BackyardShaman · 61-69, M
GOP are criminals @TheBannibalOne

@TheBannibalOne Thanks for making my block so easy.
OggggO · 36-40, M
At this point, why would either side want to? It's clear the worldviews have become fundamentally incompatible.
Graylight · 51-55, F
Funny you ask that. This morning, I came up on a pickup truck that had a giant American flag decal whose stripes were actually the lines of the Pledge of Allegiance.

Pretty patriotic display, no? And to believe so deeply in the Pledge that you keep it near you seems a very patriotic thing to do.

But one word in particular struck me as I looked at the decal. "indivisible with liberty and justice for all."

And yet every day I see people willingly, knowingly tear each other down to prove their side is bigger, better, faster, stronger. We complain how the other guy's destroying the country when it absolutely takes at least two warring sides to accomplish that.

So to anyone who still believes in the Pledge of Allegiance or carries that kind of patriotic accountability with them, it would do us all well to consider the actual meaning of the words we scream in defense of.
