An immigrant is one person who is born in one country and moves to and settles in another.

People who are born in America are not immigrants. They are descendants of immigrants but they are not immigrants. If you don't want to google it that's on you. But most Americans aren't immigrants and I pulled the percentage from an article not my hat. I'm not going to argue with you about it.

Immigrant isn't a dirty word. Let me correct that, it [b]shouldn't[/b] be a dirty word but unfortunately it is. It's now reserved for particular people.
Otherwise we wouldn't have terms like "ex pat" that literally means the same thing without the stigma.
