USA has little interest in Cuba as long as they stay militarily weak.
A couple of years ago, I would have assumed this question was a no brainer.

But now, lots of people believe in America First so firmly that there's no need to consider anyone else's interests at all, even if its their country.

At least in Viet Nam, the issue was weighing things. Now, for many, its pure self interest.
@Burnley123 I sort of disagree. There's a difference between letting self interest prevail over other interests and refusing to even consider other interests at all.

This is what Trump himself does, looking at anything only in terms of whether it seems to benefit him, and he's far more blatant and far less honest than previous proponents of America First, like Buchanan and Lindbergh.

This time around, to there's no "second" even to be considered. Its idiotic, and sociopathic, as well as short sighted.

@MistyCee I agree with your analysis of Trump. The American elite used to see itself as global leaders. Now its just taking its ball and going home.

So in its own terms (of American hegemony) Trump is a crap leader: A clown leading adults. With me, it's that I don't agree with the terms.

I want a multilateral world without countries dominating others. I'm against imperial power, even when it's done competently.
@Burnley123 I get it, but from where I sit, 1/3 of Americans don't know what the word imperialism means, and they've got our legislative bodies tied up.
