He will most likely serve 12 years? With all charges to be served concurrently because it was 1 incident
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
12 to 15 years.
Rolexeo · 26-30, M
Omg you're in your 40s, Shadowfire? Now this rivalry feels lame,not that you weren't already lame xD
LordShadowfire · 46-50
@Rolexeo Yeah, I wasn't always such a law-abiding guy. But yeah. Just so everybody else knows, that was Rolexeo's deal. He treated everybody like idiots, and blocked anybody who had a problem with it.
Rolexeo · 26-30, M
@LordShadowfire I never blocked you, also I bantered with everyone. I didnt legit hate anyone

8 weeks? Sounds like a fair sentence to me.
So if he gets a light sentence will that give BLM another excuse to loot?
@LordShadowfire Nothing says justice like looting the local Target! 😂

@RogueLoner Oh, no doubt the whole system needs retooling.
FreestyleArt · 31-35, M
The Judge told him he will have a chance for another trial. I don't know where these Juries came from. They don't seem like normal citizens
Eddiesolds · 61-69, M
8 weeks is way too long. It should be now. I dont think he will last in there.i hope he rots in there
Coralmist · 41-45, F

See my reply above. This won’t be happening:

He’ll go into protective custody, which in the maximum security facility I work at is a 23 and 1 lockup deal-23 hours in your cell (which he inhabit alone), and 1 out for shower and a caged in red area about the size of a very small classroom.

@TheLastWord
LordShadowfire · 46-50
@SevIsPamprinYouAlways Sad but true.
Yhe sentences will be concurrent so a maximum of 40 years

Guilty of all 3 counts he is looking at a high sentence
spjennifer · 56-60, T
I'd say they will go 5-7 years on each verdict, possibly 15-18 years, hopefully it's consecutive and not concurrent.
Put him in general population, and he will only last a week or two
SevIsPamprinYouAlways · 56-60, F
Protective Custody. Also referred to as “Punk City”@independentone
@SevIsPamprinYouAlways Thanks, but isn't that more costly to the taxpayers? Is Chauvin even worth the extra cost?
SevIsPamprinYouAlways · 56-60, F
No, it’s the same cost to house and feed him as it would be in general population. He gets no special privileges, and celling alone, while not something that can really be done in gen pop, is an accommodation built into segregation, the area in which protective custody is housed, for the very purpose of protecting inmates who will almost certainly be killed if they are not housed there. @independentone
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
It will be in the neighbourhood of 12 to 15 years... 17 on the very top end.
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
Guilty on all charges ?

They'll make an example of him.
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@MarkPaul Of course they will. Nobody wants any kind of response from groups in Minneapolis so the simplest thing to do is make an example of him.
That gets the media off their back and then he can bargain it down away from the media spotlight
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@Picklebobble2 There are guidelines to follow. It's not simply a matter of an arbitrary decision to appeal to social media and make an example. The sentence will be somewhere in the middle... 12 to 15 years... in that neighbourhood. Final answer.
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@MarkPaul Well i bow to your obviously better 'knowledge' then
Eternity · 26-30, M
The judge will be as lenient as he can possibly be of course. To be expected.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@Eternity Wrong.
Longpatrol · 31-35, M
Maybe 8-10 for good behaviour
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@Longpatrol Possibly.
