Boris Johnson moved to intensive care due to Covid

This got very real for him very quickly.

(Sky News): Boris Johnson has been moved to intensive care after his condition worsened, Downing Street has said.

The prime minister was admitted to St Thomas' Hospital in London on Sunday night - 10 days after testing positive for coronavirus - due to continuing symptoms of COVID-19.

He was initially admitted "as a precaution" but Mr Johnson's health has since deteriorated, Number 10 said.

The prime minister has now asked Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab to deputise for him "where necessary".

A Number 10 spokesman said: "Over the course of this afternoon, the condition of the prime minister has worsened and, on the advice of his medical team, he has been moved to the intensive care unit at the hospital.

"The prime minister has asked Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab, who is the First Secretary of State, to deputise for him where necessary.

"The prime minister is receiving excellent care, and thanks all NHS staff for their hard work and dedication."

I have never agreed with him regarding politics, but now I wish this man all the best. Get well soon Boris.
I would like to grumble at you again when you're okay. 馃尫

I wish him, and his family well. The next 24-36 hours are very critical, based on everything we've seen here. A lot of people needed ICU care, and had to endure a longer recovery, as their lungs healed.

Well his party and him after 10 years of Austerity have ruiined the NHS and other infrastructure, food banks at an all time high, a party and leader that has shown no care or compassion to its citizens.

Boris even turned down EU help of venterlaotors as he was still on his Brexit war path.

His and Dominic Cummings idea was for herding, they laughed at the fact older and people with certion illnesses would die, they didn't care and went ahead and did it.

Now Dominic Cummings is in isolation with Covid 19 and Boris is in intesnive care, thier idea so they have noone else to blame for not taking this seriously!!
I don鈥檛 agree with his politics, but I hope he pulls through.

I've suspected for a while that his condition was more serious than was being reported and I think there's a very real chance now of this not ending well.

Good luck Boris.馃

This is bad news. More instability in an already bad situation. And although I don鈥檛 agree with him, I wouldn鈥檛 wish this on him.

Hopefully he recovers and other world leaders take the fact that a world leader is going through this as a sign to get more serious about it because they are not immune.
