Like because they can’t afford it ?

@CrocodileCookie Because they receive health insurance from their employer. We have this weird thing here in the USA where you can get health coverage through your job. They're called "benefits." So if you have a good job, it comes with lots of benefits, which means that the company you work for pays for you to have health insurance, dental insurance, maybe vision too for eyeglasses and stuff. But since everyone is out of work because of the pandemic, millions of people have lost their health insurance since they're not working the job that usually covers their healthcare.

@BlueMetalChick but isn’t taxes money safe for that ?

@CrocodileCookie Tax money is not spent on healthcare here, no.

@BlueMetalChick wasn’t health care one of the the best in USA ?
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@CrocodileCookie LOL
No, it's among the worst in the entire developed world.

@BlueMetalChick I have heard people say that USA spends a lot of money on health care
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@CrocodileCookie Oh yeah, more money than any other country. USA spends the most money on healthcare out of anyone. But that's because we pay essentially a private tax.
