Why are Republicans patting themselves on the back over expanded unemployment benefits?

Do they think we didn't see them fighting tooth and nail to vote against expansion and do we not see their rank (incredibly rank) and file loyal base members screeching about how too much is being given to people and that it will force them to never seek employment again?

Republicans. They sure are fucking stupid.
