I think it was supposed to have been up and running 24-28 hours after he was talking about how beautiful, perfect, and effective it was. What happened?

He has no clue. Google was not even aware of it. It turns out it was something under development, was being done as a local project. Even when Google clarified it, he still doubled down on it.

Apple finished its own site faster. Trump did not even have a clue what the site was for.
