Taking a closer look at the gig economy situation is a good idea, but sounds like they goofed on this aspect.

It's a good example of good intentions turning into really fucking bad legislation.

The idea is to stop companies from ripping people off by giving them fulltime work but paying/treating them like contractors with no benefits or job security. Good idea.

The problem is they didn't include TONS of different kinds of jobs, particularly freelance writing, which has people churn out tons of easy to write content. So their cap is something someone can blow through in a month.
