Do Kurdish people deserve statehood and the right of self-determination?

It's a bit of a rhetorical question because the answer seems so obvious. Having helped to defeat ISIS, they've now been left at the mercy of the Turkish army. Here is a really interesting interview with a British volunteer in Rojava which will not appear in the mainstream media.

P.S. I know some people will argue that what is happening is not Trump's fault and that America and the West have no responsibility. This is an ally against ISIS which is being attacked by a NATo equipped army. If you want an isolationist foreign policy then working with allies you plan to later betray is not that.

In addition, the Kurds have had to release their ISIS prisoners and refugees from the Islamic state are being 'resettled' in Kurdish territory. If the 'Rojavan ISIL' ever becomes a terrorist problem for anyone then please think back to what led to its creation.

That isn't something you deserve, it’s something you take. Best of luck to the Kurds.
