You mean the wall that he thinks can be built into the sea and which doesn't do shit because most undocumented immigrants are in expired visas?
@jackjjackson My thought is and will always be - stop with the US gimmie gimmies and you will see them "self deport" back to Mex. End the reign of drunk mexican criminals that shoot police officers ob Christmas day.

Enough is enough - [big]I've had enough of these fuckers [/big]- Let's go Trump you need to get 90% more aggressive this year.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@MarmeeMarch yeah, then you can just be stuck with your own citizens that commit more crimes and don't work hard like Mexicans do and have even more of a gimme gimme approach. Did you know most handouts are in red states?

You haven’t disproved my statement despite your googling all day. Name calling is beneath most people but apparently not you. Send me a link to a thread you will create that you want to debate. I’ll play. @basilfawlty89

The democrats talk about border security, but what does that really mean to them? A big reason that they don't want a wall is because it will be permanent. A democrat president will pull back on border security, but won't be able to destroy the wall.

59% of Americans oppose the wall.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/cbs-news-poll-americans-dont-support-building-the-wall/

That's almost the same percentage that oppose the president. Only Republicans (79%) favor a wall. Independents (66%) and Democrats (84%) oppose the wall.

Looks like a losing issue for the Republicans and Trump.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Bilateral support. That wasn’t the question. I asked you to name a DEMOCRAT issue. @windinhishair
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@jackjjackson Environmental and climate change issues are widely seem as Democrat issues, because they do have more support among Democrats, particularly now with Trump reversing environmental protections and climate change regulations and planning. Both of those would qualify.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Bilateral @windinhishair
I say they should build a wall of Walmarts along the border. - Might as well.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Amazon fulfillment centers? @MarmeeMarch
@jackjjackson there you go - now I am sure to get the wrong thing I ordered.
curiosi · 61-69, F
The wall WORKS that is why the libs don't want it! Between the wall and voter ID laws they would lose their biggest voting block.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
How about that? We agree. @windinhishair
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@jackjjackson There had to be something we would agree on.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
I recall that we have agreed on other occasions. @windinhishair

It's past time for repubs to elect people who understand they work for us, not the other way around. Past time.

Actually we do need a barrier, call it a wall if you like. I lived and worked on the border, from Brownsville to Eagle Pass for 17 years. I could sit in my office at the hospital and watch the illegals crossing over the dry river bed just to the east of the legal crossing bridge. I also had to dodge many an illegal alien running across the two lane highways between Laredo and Eagle Pass. Don't sit there and pretend they're not a problem because they ARE a problem. And you KNOW they're a problem. The liars are the ones who try to claim the illegals are not a problem and a decent person has to wonder why they'd lie. Of course a moron doesn't wonder, they just sop up the shit and swallow it.
katielass · F
Oh, aren't the dumdums going to be busy with "oversight". lol
One possibility beyond partisan politics-- is that a wall makes no damn sense. At least in the absence of a comprehensive border security program.

Already we have: people putting ramps over fences and walls and driving over them; people making tunnels; people climbing; people entering by legal means and staying; people entering in container ships and trucks as cargo.

And then we have drugs: catapulted over fences and walls; dropped by drones and ultralights; brought in by manned and unmanned submersibles; and all the ways people come in.

So a lot of informed people aren't going to get their nut over a wall. Doesn't mean they want open borders.

And Trump subverts his own case for a wall. Praised border security for stopping the caravan. But then it's in the news that 1000 people are released pending asylum cases. OH. And the tweet about the 10 foot wall around the Obama's.

So far I see no evidence from this administration that anyone is serious about illegal immigration. Sure. Some high profile shit. The wall. Child separation. Some ICE deportations...

... but the itinerant farm labor has cycled through North Florida to South Florida just like it always has. For the last 20 years I have paid attention. Everyone knows where they are. No change.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Because the plan hasn’t become law. Get behind it and you will see results. @CopperCicada
@jackjjackson i guess i'm see the status quo with the existing laws not being enforced.
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
That’s been the problem for decades. @CopperCicada
