I notice a marked reduction in depictions of the black family in TV ads. Why do you suppose that is?

Even interracial families are starting to appear more than all black families. There is no way there are more mixed than black families. Blacks have the worst stats for the family unit in America. Would someone concerned with that fact be concerned with the disappearance of good black fathers with black mothers and children in the media?

I don't know but seems like every commercial I see these days is a mixed marriage. I do like the Allstate one though of the black family in the car and the dad kind of complains because the others have ear buds on and he says he doesn't share the reward check he gets every 6 months without an accident with the wife. Then he laughs and says sometimes he leaves the seat up on purpose. He's cute.

@AMERICA1ST yeah, I think you're right. That's one reason I like that black family in the Allstate commercial. They are a nice family who are normal. Black kids need to see more of that.

@AMERICA1ST I know but there is a segment who says that kind of family is "acting white". I don't think its about acting white, i think it's about acting normal and I know there are black families out there like that. someone seems to want t depict them as oddballs and it's just not true.
