I Am Highy Interested In the Mysteries of the World

Most recent mystery of modern times: What happened to Madeleine McCann?

As I'm based in the UK, I and anybody else here has to be careful what we write about this as her parents are active in shutting down anything which implicates them in any wrong doing and additionally it is an ongoing police investigation so if everybody who posts does so in a non-prejudicial manner it would be appreciated.
As a talking point it has split opinion and if you ever look at any of the Facebook groups about this case, the posters do not brook any alternate opinion to their ideas that either, 'Madeleine was abducted', or 'Madeleine was killed' in the holiday apartment she was staying in with her parents. I have joined groups representing both sides (in an attempt to find out what ideas people were throwing around) and as soon as I pointed out flaws in their reasoning was ejected from both groups, it was more important for people to maintain their view rather than try and find out the truth.
Rather than retype the story a very superficial version is here:

There are a huge amount of other articles on the internet about this case but you have to be very careful and pick through what you read as much of it is opinion and some of the evidence (photos etc) have been tampered with.

Does anybody have any ideas about this case? (There is also a multi million pound reward for finding and returning her safely home).

[c=#4C0073]why do people bother to speculate anyway? Let the police investigate. It's not up to people to find out the truth, it's up to the authorities.

Disagree about that being normal behaviour to leave children of that age alone in an apartment without the security of it being your own home is unusual. And if you disagree about that here's what the NSPCC have to say about it:

Yes, also there are numerous suspicious aspects to their evidence, behaviour etc, such as the statement straight away that she had been abducted when she may have wandered off. It's difficult to find untainted evidence on the internet so I try and keep sources to the more reliable ones such as the BBC etc.

@dunpender you think leaving a 4 year old and two 2 year olds unattended whilst going for a meal approximately 100 metres away is perfectly normal parental behaviour?

@rowena it's natural for speculation to take place in the same way that people talk about football or fashion, if you're not interested that's fair enough but there are a lot of people who are.

@hunkalove any opinions on it or is it just something you read and accept? What do you make of Martin Smith's sighting?

I don't waste time investigating her disappearance, but whenever I see anything about it I read it. My theory is that she is a teenager somewhere in the world. I also read about our local mystery, the murder of JonBenet Ramsey, which I hope will someday be solved.

Friends who had vacationed with them previously apparently gave evidence straight away about suspicious & lewd conversations re young girls and their own daughters.
