Supreme Court Reaches Majority Decision on Roe vs. Wade. Insidiuous Soon to be EX-Lawyer LEAKS the brief in process to Politico.

The "sanctity" of the Supreme Court has been violated in the worst possible way. I hope the person who stole a copy of the brief and leaked it feels it was worth being disbarred and fired...and possibly jailed. The FBI will be looking into it now.

[big]IF the decision on the brief is the majority decision, then EACH STATE will have the power to decide whether or not abortions will be legal inside their state. [/big]

That's the way it was fifty years ago, and that decision making power will return to each state. THAT is constitutional.

I read the majority opinion and it was everything I had ever thought about this case . I never thought I would see the day .

Can't wait to see to see the fanatical, hysterical, and vitriolic far left responses to this one.
SmoothKnight · 51-55, M
@4meAndyou

The fact that it was leaked disturbs me as much as anything else.
4meAndyou · F
@SmoothKnight The Supreme Court WAS the last bastion of integrity in our nation's capitol. There has NEVER been a leak. Somehow, a corrupted clerk was hired...and probably bribed by Politico.

@SmoothKnight
the fanatical, hysterical, and vitriolic far left responses to this one
THAT will be the headlines today.

It could well be a fraud. An attempt by Democrat operatives to jump-start enthusiasm for Democrats in a time when Democrats are by and large thought of as self-serving power-mongers rather than servants of the people. An attempt to gain favor for packing the courts and forget about $5 gas and 8% inflation. And of course they will have no difficulty getting the issue propelled and advanced by their media collaborators.
4meAndyou · F
@Heartlander I don't think it is a fraud, although I have heard that suggested.

I have also heard that the corrupted clerk who leaked the document is probably a political agitator who was probably paid handsomely to create a mid-term flood of pro-abortion feeling in the far left in yet ANOTHER attempt to influence elections

I have heard it suggested that Dems will use this as and excuse to pack the court.

I suggest we wait and see.
Heartlander · 80-89, M
@4meAndyou I don't think there will be a wait and see. It's an issue that will be topic-1 in every political jurisdiction in America by noon and be woven into the campaign ads of every governors' or state legislators' election by tomorrow.

It will move faster than the Russia-gate lie.
Persephonee · 22-25, F
To much of Europe which sweeps the topic of abortion under a carpet, events in the US are one of the few and really important reminders that the society we inhabit — which we’re told [we must!] celebrate as the most liberated, kind, rich and civilised imaginable (and certainly better than we're told the US is) — is actually built on a growing pile of "disposable" human beings.
4meAndyou · F
@Persephonee They used to call the USA and ALL of our European allies "The Free World". Imagine that. Now we have to question whether or not the lawless few will dominate the majority simply because they cheat, and are lawless, and loud.
Persephonee · 22-25, F
@4meAndyou The notion of the 'Free World' was always really just rhetoric, which started to be used at the time that Joe McCarthy was inventing communists to persecute (though I'll grant not all his accusations were without foundation), and the British government was refusing to end the use of ID cards which were meant to be enforced only during WW2, and merrily forced gay men to have hormone therapy if they wanted to avoid prison.

Who called us the Free World? Mostly the people who made sure we never were as free as we might be.

We are free at least when we go to a heavenly reward. I try to focus on that.

The FBI has been corrupted by the left as well. This is another plan to split our country apart .
Barefooter25 · 46-50, M
As much as I want this to be true, I'm not jumping the gun or going over the scrimmage line early. Better to wait for the actual decision first. They say the leaker came from a clerk in Justice Sotomayor's office. I just don't want anyone giving their hopes up. Let's pray that this is true and not like a Geraldo segment when he opens Al Capone's vault and nothing is there.
4meAndyou · F
@Barefooter25 The comment by Heartlander illustrates what many fear...that the mainstream media and giant a-holes like Upchuck Schumer will USE this and will accelerate it until it is moving bigger and faster than Russia-Gate
Barefooter25 · 46-50, M
@4meAndyou Wouldn't pass it by them if this was a diversionary tactic to distract us from something else.
Budwick · 70-79, M
The FBI will be looking into it now.
Then justice is screwed.
4meAndyou · F
@Budwick Only the top people at the FBI are corrupt. You don't climb that high in the FBI unless you are dirty. They are saying it will be handled by the DOJ...and the FBI works for them.
Heartlander · 80-89, M
@4meAndyou

Unfortunately, the top people in government institutions often pick "yes" people for the next layer, who in turn pick "yes" people for the next layer.
4meAndyou · F
@Heartlander Yeah. That's how we got Chris Wray. He was in the third layer from the top when Trump fired the other a-holes.
TexChik · F
Aww! Thanks for the BC! 😉
4meAndyou · F
@TexChik I respect your legal opinions!
MarineBob · 56-60, M
If that happens how many of planned Parenthoods lawyers will be without a client.... what will planned Parenthood do with all the government funds they get if they're not suing the States?
4meAndyou · F
@MarineBob One thing I know for sure, is that Planned Parenthood will NOT return the funds.

Watch your news today for Kamala Harris, the Planned Parenthood candidate of California, as she address a meeting of Pro-Choice parents.
Adrift · 61-69, F
They need to leave Roe v Wade alone.
4meAndyou · F
@Adrift Abortions are not going away. The decision to make them legal and provide them has simply been returned to EACH state.

In the 1970's, the morning after pill hadn't even been invented yet. This is not the big deal it was 50 years ago.

@Stereoguy EXACTLY!!! AND there are SO MANY different kinds of contraceptives now, available cheaply. You don't even have to see a doctor. You can get them by mail! On an app!!! AND there is the morning after pill and the women with round heels can just stock up!!!!

Roe vs Wade was passed FIFTY years ago. In the 1970's most women didn't even know what to do with their lady problems. But it's NOT the 1970's anymore! Any girl or woman can get onto her cell phone and use the internet and make a phone call for an appointment anywhere!
