I write poetry

Counting the stars
In the edge of darkness
That twilight, you know I love
And you loved and came to love
Even more because…

Where time stood still
In and out of the shadows
Where it is hard to pin the absolute,
Where memory and perception go
To fill the voids of what we cannot see
The undulations of living
Those “benighted things” that go to and fro…

I stand back and eye your lips
And gaze upon your eyes
And the hourglass, of shape and time
And the evolution of my mind.
And then I disappear, poof.
Where do I go?

Just there, playing upon the mountains
And calling your name out loud and afar
Across the outline of ridges at twilight
In the edge of darkness,
Lonely, counting the stars…

So many places you let the reader’s mind wander…

The music, somehow hurt my heart, couldn’t make it through it all.
