I Write Poetry

baby I keep falling in love
over and over again with you
you make me happy
do the little things that
people in love seem to do

when you asked me
to take that journey with you
I didn't know what to expect
I know I wanted to know you better
baby I have never been disappointed
not ever, not once

I know I got a lot to learn sometimes
saying the wrong things
made some mistakes
but I been so grateful
you never turned your back on me
took me back when others would not

life is not easy
got bumps and ruts in the road
but as long as we got each other
I know we're gonna be just fine
baby you and I will be just fine
