Wishful thinking.

SPRING HAS SPRUNG

The sun has finally brought its warmth,
The grass has started to grow.
The little blades of green alive,
And poking through the snow.

The trees have started to put on buds,
Leaves are not far behind.
Flowers will display their beauty soon.
And left for us to find.

New growth springs forth as winter fades,
Many things that we've not seen.
White blankets melt to be replaced,
By a giant sea of green.

Butterfly wings with colors spread,
Are widely on display.
Birds are singing in the trees,
The children out to play.

Frozen rivers have begun to flow,
The thaw has now begun.
The birds are working on their nest,
As they await their young.

You can watch nature come alive,
And appreciate everything.
They all are here to signal you,
The beginning days of spring.
