@Human1000 Yes, finally a true statement from you: I am a true believer: in the Constitution and politicians living up to their oaths of office. Somethings that I do not observe much by Dems and many Repubs..

Many Japanese words are only one syllable in length. Much easier to compose a poem with 5 and then 7 and then 5 words.
Moon shines on sea waves,
Off in the distance, a seabird cries
I sit on the sand, alone, understanding…

Write me a haiku.
But about what should I write?
The sky is endless.
BobbyMoeven · 51-55, M
wiggling me ten toes
Passing by me tipsy woes

Finally spring time 😀

You know Japanese words typically only have one or two syllables so it’s far easier for them

What you have constructed here is actually what's called an American Sentence.
Some debate whether haiku can be made in any language other than Japanese because of the relationship between syllables and whole words or concepts.
BUT ALSO Haiku are supposed to have some references to seasons
AND a thing referred to as a "cut word", which in Japanese describes a word that shows a change or shift -- can also denote that change in terms of growth, absorbing experiences or learning.

This is why there are masters at haiku, and why Americans can whip them out a dozen an hour and be like "Oh, God the biggest challenge is in seeing what the hell the challenge is."
The one that shows the format in the illstration may be one if open is the cut word...

Creative kindness
Have you seen loss, too?
An experience we share,
It unites us all.
Farted she did, yes--
Saw you not her face of red?
Smelt you not the stench?
Soft, sensitive eyes,
Her face so very lovely--
This is you, Nerd Queen.

Not even sure if that is a haiku 😬
@QueenOfTheNerds Its the middle line is it?
QueenOfTheNerds · 41-45, F
@Ozymandiaz
Lines one and two.
Line one should have 5 syllables, line 2 should have 7.
@QueenOfTheNerds I will change it up a little and see if i can fix it
