Sunset Nov 9 from our balcony

We are having an "Indian Summer."

Why you call it an Indian summer?
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Mia123 there is controversy as to where the term originated. I thought it was a derogatory one against Native American Indians. I have recently learned in actually started in Britain. It is the term for the return of warm weather after a freeze.

@samueltyler2 Do you find "Indian" a term to denote "warmth" or "change for the better"?
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Mia123 not particularly, I find the term "indian summer" derogatory.
That's my dad's birthday.
