A Smoky Sunset

Somewhere in the Midwest. September 2020. The Western fires creating an eerie evening.

I'm in CA and dealing with a pretty big fire right now and it's kind of mind blowing to know how FAR the smoke is traveling. We don't feel the impacts from tornadoes in the Midwest but you're getting to come along on our fire ride. At least with the crazy sky.

@Ynotisay I can't imagine what you all are going through. Thoughts with you all and please stay safe.

@luckranger71 Thanks man. I'm up in a mountain forest, and have been in and through other wildfires. These are different. And we're not even in our "official" fire season. Think you might be seeing that glow for quite a while. Bad scene.

Yeah, we are getting your stinky smelly california air here on the west coast:-((@Ynotisay

The sunsets here on the Kansas prairie have been stunning orange-red due to the western fires. Thanks for sharing

The sun disappears where I am, don't know if it's clouds or if the smoke is heavier to the west

We even saw the effect of the fires here on the east coast today. Very odd color to the sky. Ominous.
Absolutely beautiful!!
