I don't understand the iPhone craze, why do you all love them so much?

My cousin needed to have the iPhone 14 pro and her and I checked all over town for it and it was all out of stock. It's just weird to me why you always have to have the newest model? I've had the same android phone for years even cracked but I don't feel the need for anything more or newer. Am I the odd one out here?

I see people getting the latest best phones which can cost upwards of £50 per month...over a 24 month contract that's £1200 I can't justify that. I bought a cheapish Chinese phone last time for £200 and a sim at £8 per month so less that £400 total over the same period.

You’re not the odd one out. I have an iPhone but I don’t race to buy a new one every year. They’re reliable tech when it comes to hardware, software and firmware. But I think buying a new one every year is a waste of money

@stratosranger yes when I asked her why she wanted the new one she said it was for the camera but it seems like the last model had a top of a line camera too

@SW-User Yeah. I wait a few years and get whatever SE model comes out. They have the same chip set as the expensive iPhones. I don’t need a 4K screen or an infrared camera lens. I have flatscreen TV and a digital camera that do those jobs much better. 😉

I got a galaxy s7 on contract for 35 a month over 2 years now pay virgin 7 a month for unlimited everything im over the moon with it and have had it 5 years now
