my phone makes a notification sound that i have heard for YEARS and i still can’t figure out wtf it’s for.

it’s not in my sounds settings, the actual notification for this app/program NEVER shows up when the sound is made. so i have no idea why it makes it or what tf it is for.

Hahaha.. i can relate.. my phone gives a short vibration alert at random, usually in the middle of the night.. I've scoured my settings and I can't figure out what it is or how to turn it off

@Onestarlitnight mine sometimes does that when I have it in the no sound mode and the power to it connects, disconnects or maybe when it gets to 100% letting me know to unplug it...

So instead of no sound, I put it on do not disturb

When mine does that it's either because Google wants me to enter my birthday or because of some app called device pulse. Of course when the device pulse makes a vibrate my phone sits their frantically vibrating like it's screaming for help or something. Of course there's no way to delete or shut the goddamned app off I have tried and it just doesn't work

I'm guessing you still have your SW sound notification on...

If this is it, go to your notification page, (at least using my cellphone) there is a drop-down in the top right where you can turn notification pop-ups and notification sounds off.

Sounds like you might have the pop-up off, but the sound on.
