Optus telco hacker releases 10000 customer records as part of ransom demand

Since the major data breach (aka 'hack') occured at Optus - Australia's second biggest telco that operates one of Australia's tier-1 licensed mobile phone networkds - the stakes have been raised with the hackers now demanding payments under threat of releasing more personal customer information into the 'dark web' etc.

Seems we're in dark times for telcos. Last year VoIP.ms was subjected to blackmail DDoS attacks
