how can i do a fresh install of windows xp professional without losing all the drivers?
You can't. Compaq no longer exists, but you should go to this site:
https://www.driverscape.com/manufacturers/hp/laptops-desktops/presario-v2000/100208
download and save the drivers to a CD, then do a clean install (note that all your data/programs/etc. will be wiped out). Then do an install using an XP installation CD. When you're done, reboot in safe mode, and install the drivers one by one.

Depending on the age of the laptop, you might be able to go to the Compaq website and download drivers for that laptop or do a Google search for the drivers.
Xp will most likely have the drivers, but they'll be generic and not specific to the hardware.

You should upgrade, and possibly run your app on a virtual machine. Win XP was released in 2001 and support terminated in 2014. It is now seven years out of date. Anything that old is a security nightmare.

Yr gunna lose them.
Look for the latest you have, back up or find online...
Then demolish your XP.
But, rather you not... 😬
