What dog breed could this be?

It's a birthday card my mom sent me. We both love Victorian/Edwardian art, and dogs. ❤ This dog looks like a mountain dog of some type, or a collie??

In the Victorian painting, it's a Rough Collie. They're the ones with the long-haired coats. The nose should be a about an inch longer.
In the China figurine, the breed of the pup is not clear, could be collie, spaniel or cross-breed.
