Are stairs safe for Dogs?

I am thinking of getting a husky puppy but I keep reading online that stairs are bad for it. I suppose I could train it to poo on one of those floor pamper things or carry it up and down the stairs for as long as I can but as he or she gets bigger I might want to just start taking him outside without carrying it as I might fall doing so. I live on a second floor so the steps are just down and up. Do you think this would be unhealthy for it? It takes like 14-15 steps on the stairs to get up to my apartment. I attached a picture that shows a staircase about the same size as the one the dog would have to climb to get to my apartment when he or she is too big. Do you guys think it would be doable?
The only reason I have heard of stairs being unsafe for dogs, is when you have a large or giant breed puppy (which are prone to joint problems), going up and down stairs can be hard on their developing joints. Not sure if that is the case for huskies.

Depends on the breed and the dogs individual health issues as well.as the age of the dog. As someone else mentioned Shepard's are prone to hip problems and stairs can cause problems for them as they age. Older dogs in general often have issues with stairs just like older people can. But if the dog is young and healthy then no. Stairs are not bad for them. On the contrary they can be an excellent source of exercise for the puppy.

My husky bounds up flights of stairs with ease
He or she may develop joint problems later on in life. If those stairs are the only way you have of getting your dog in and out of your home, you'd better make sure that you can carry a fully grown dog's weight up and down the stairs before you make that purchase.

I don't know about huskies but Shepard s are prone to hip trouble
Not an old dog should be fine if over a year old
