Sorry if this is too morbid for some people. [I Love My Cat]

I had a cat who lived for 18 years. He passed 14 years ago. He was my everything. He went cross country several times with me. And it broke my heart to have him put down. So I buried him where he used to sleep outside.
My dad died 2 1/2 years ago and I was planning to live with my brother in CA. So I thought for a long while and then I decide to dig my baby Tweety up and take him with me. I knew he'd be decomposed already but I couldn't bear to leave him there with who ever bought my place. So I dug and found him. His bone were scattered in the dirt but I carefully picked up the bones and took them into my house. I cleaned them of mud and debris and then bleached his bones. They came out a pretty white color. After that I found a small box with a lock on it and put his bones in it. About 2 months later my brother calls and decided it would be best if I stay here. So now after 2 1/2 years my baby Tweety sits on a bedside table. And he will be buried with me when I die.

I see no harm in that, good for you.

@melissa001 It so makes sense not wanting to leave him with strangers who might do who knows what with the property where he was. I know he appreciates that.

Ohh! Very much attached with him emotionally. How do you feel now?
melissa001 · 51-55, F
@Tukudo my mind is at ease that at least I have him and can take him if I do move.
