Why is getting your dog or cat spayed/neutered such a big debate STILL?

Kinda wanna smack those who breed their animals. Too many animals, and not enough resources. Right now I am trying to help an abandoned plott hound who gave birth. I have no idea where her pups are and the only rescue in the county can't help cause they are at capacity. 😔 Spay/neutering should be a law... I know people are like what about my right as an animal owner? 🤬 It's like how about finding homes for the ones in the shelter first?! Maybe they should spend the day in the kill room at these shelters. 😔
