I love my dog more than anything

I've been in quarantine for the last few days, so I figured I'd take advantage of the time off work to rearrange my room. Trying to get in shape at some point in my life, so making a little space to work out is imperative.

Living the bachelor life means things tend to get messy, so my room was a mess of clothes I was in no rush to put away and chewed-up toys my dog lost interest in weeks ago. But I needed the room, so I put all my dogs toys in an old Amazon box and got busy cleaning and moving things around.

In the end, I was quite pleased with my work, but my dog definitely wasn't as she began pulling all of her toys out of the box and back onto the floor. I thought she developed a new-found interest with her old toys and would start playing them, but I was mistaken as she just jumped back into bed after they were all strewn over the floor. She had no desire to play, she just left them all out because that's where she wanted them.

So my dog's kind of a jerk. If she wasn't going to play with them, I would just put them back in the box. She tried fighting me at first, grabbing onto a toy as I had picked it up to put away, so I threw a ball out into the hallway to get her out my way. As she chased, I quickly started grabbing the toys that were left and dumped them in the box. She returned to see that I had the audacity to clean up my own room, but not to be undone she jumped right into the box of toys to start digging out her favorites.

I could've been angry, but I was too busy laughing at the gall she had to just lunge straight into a cardboard box in order to spite me. I didn't think she could be so obsessed, and damn near coughed the COVID right of me watching her dump toys back onto the floor. I could see she was in a mood to play, so I decided a compromise was in order and teased her with one of her prized balls while I put the others away.

I now had extra room in my room, so it was the perfect set up for a little play area. She was fine settling on just one toy as long as I played with her, and I was relieved to have a little levity back in my life after getting those unfortunate test results. I'm glad I have the perfect quarantine companion. I've always loved my dog, but seeing her flaunt her personality just makes me love her more.
