If your happiness is so dependent on dining service (people who cook and serve you food and clean the tables and wash the dishes for you) I'd think you'd have a little more graditude for them. Sounds like you are the one with contempt that no one is rushing to do those things for you when you want to go out. Lol
I suggest you find yourself a dining table to put in your home, or go pack up your meal and eat it outside on the grass or on a bench until your local restaurants open up.

@Scribbles I always eat at home but my dream is to be able to eat food out inside a real restaurant one day if they would let me in

Takeout and dine in are rather different concepts. I don't see it as contempt if they are not combined.

@NerdyPotato Maybe so maybe so maybe. it could be the smaller populations outside of urban centers. but it could also mean all the precautions didn't work as well as they told us they would.

@pancakeslam maybe some are more effective than others, but the Netherlands showed that a complete package was very effective. It was almost gone after only a partial lockdown at some point, but the moment all restrictions were lifted, the hospitals started filling beyond capacity again.

@NerdyPotato a total lockdown works but... half measures... not effectively then

I agree. There is a restaurant that I enjoyed going to, but they still don't have dine in, and I don't understand. I understand fast food places, but actual restaurants I don't since the majority of their business comes from people dining in.

@Bri89 I agree. Well stated. Let us have a seat. They could do with the extra revenue and get some tips while we have a nice time. 👍

Take out = contempt for customers?
What are you smoking? You didn't even have to cook the meal. So much entitlement.
Too many entitled anti-pandemic precaution people have contempt for low wage restaurant workers.
When you open a restaurant, you can run it however you see fit.
Single-use "disposable" packaging is contempt for the environment, that's about as far as you can logically take this.

@SW-User these restaurant punks are paranoia wackjobs. they can't even leave the house without dressing themselves head to toe in bubble wrap and they may just threaten to call the cops if you don't comply with their every pansy arse demand. no more pioneer spirit in this country. we got the whiiiiiner spirit.

@pancakeslam the only whiner here is you thinking anyone else owes you anything at all, melting like a brittle snowflake because you can't go out to eat just the way you want ... you wouldn't have survived a day in a Japanese-American internment camp during World War 2 (actual oppression)
